I don't know anything about the paddlefest you speak of in July but I am going to try to attend the rendezvous at Holland park in June.

Voyager solo build update.

I haven't posted in quite a while and thought I'd share my progress. All that's left is to turn it over and give the outer hull about 5 coats of polyurethane. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v498/tayankey/solo%20canoe%20pics/?action=view&current=1176680060.pbw

I have read that the reason most builders use epoxy instead of glue is the epoxy has a longer working time tham wood glue. In short it would start setting up before you were through glueing all the strips.

Glen. thanks those pics were very helpful. My solo is called Voyager, from Newfound Woodworks. here's a pic of a finished one. I wish I knew how the builder did those accent strips. I tried but the butt joints just won't hold. [IMG:432:268]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v498/tayankey/canoe%20pics...

Outer stem question

Hello, I have a question about installing outer stems. These are 3/4" square and were bent and epoxied with the inner stems. The only source of info I have on these kind of outer stems is Canoecraft and I can't get a clear understanding of his method since there is only one dim picture on the s...
