Hi Eric,
Thank you for your kind words -- I've enjoy the feedback from the website nearly as much as building the boat. I took a break from building, but the kayak has rekindled my interest. How did your boat come out?

Hi Bryan, I quit kayaking several years ago because sitting in that position is uncomfortable -- and nothing I've been able to do has helped, but I can paddle a canoe all day long. That actually is what led to my decision to build the canoe. The kayak project is an experiment to see what the design ...

Chris Glad -- Website update

Hi Folks, I've recently updated my website, and I noticed a lot of people are using the old URL.(www.aracnet.com/~ncglad/canoe) It still works, but my new(ish) domain is a little easier to type in -- here's the new address:: http://www.pdxtex.com/canoe The canoe website info is all the same as befor...

Canoe website for Freedom 17

I built a Freedom 17 in 2000/2001 & built this website to document & share the construction process. There's some other boat and woodworking info there also.

I've been paddling the boat since early 2001 and LOVE it. Great design, way fun to paddle.

Enjoy!
