Should epoxy be primed before it's painted?

Varnish

I got runs when I varnished the scuppers, I suggest you do both at the same time, starting with the scuppers and then the inside. That way you can take care of the runs as you do the inside.

cutting scupers

clamp the inwales together, hullside to hullside,
for 1/4" use 1/2" bit .
drill the holes at the start and end of each scuper, centered at the join,
separate
then router out between the holes.

Try US Composites
They claim S glass is 25 to 30% stronger than E glass
Does that mean that 4oz S is as strong as 6oz E?

Staples

I used staples and found it necessary to use clamps, as well, to get the joints tight coming around the bilge and the foot ball, so next one will be mostly stapleless

Sanding Fillcoats

I'm ready to start sanding the fillcoats prior to varnishing. I have some bumps I'd like to sand smooth. I think if I do , I'll sand into the glass. Is it hard to tell when one hits the glass and what are the consequences of sanding into the glass? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Manitoulin ...
