Thanks Rick.... do you think I place the yoke in the exact center facing the stern I can get it to be slightly tilted for carrying purposes? I was thinking I need to be an inch or two closer to the stern for the appropriate angle for portaging. Any formula for that one? for the seats I will go by th...

I see Glen is for scuppers!! Thanks for your opinion, and I looked at your way of doing it, which was with a drillpress after taping the two pieces together. then using a table saw to remove the access, I like that way, and may be for it. Any other opinions are appreciated
Thanks

Scuppers, Seats, Yoke, Calculations? Help? Nomad!

Hey all, I am getting close to the final stages of my Nomad. I have cut a beautiful board of this Redish Mahogany into one inch strips for gunwales. I am trying to figure out about making the appropriate scuppers and also seat mounting tricks and whatnot. Is there a calculation for a 17' boat? the r...

Light touch with scotchrite pad? What is that? Wouldn't I want all the epoxy to get absorbed and also squegee it like normal to make it smooth and make sure all is absorbed and there is no excess resin. Also what is outglassing? Thanks for the reply

Epoxy pre-coat of inside hull? Before Cloth?

My th...

filling the half oval (disalignment)

I am finding this very difficult and I can not seem to line up my left and right side strips (centerline strip being my left), the first few strips were fine, but now it is a little offline, like one strip (the one on the side that I cut the centerline) ends more toward the center than it should, ju...
