Glen Thanks for the quick response but maybe I'm not explaining what I'm looking for with the correct terms. I want to make a cubby hole, for lack of a better term, underneith the deck. A water proof glove compartment if you will. I cant paste a picture here, not sure about the procedure. Thanks Doug

Waterproof hatch
I'm trying to find some water proof hatches but am having no luck. Found some on this web site ( http://www.shipstore.com/SS/HTML/BEC/BECDP40WC.html ) but when I e-mail or phone I get no response. Anybody have any ideas?

Just read this thread and found it interesting and very helpful but I have one other question/concern? What does anybody think the increase in size does to the stability of the canoe?
