Glen Thanks for the quick response but maybe I'm not explaining what I'm looking for with the correct terms. I want to make a cubby hole, for lack of a better term, underneith the deck. A water proof glove compartment if you will. I cant paste a picture here, not sure about the procedure. Thanks Doug

Waterproof hatch

I'm trying to find some water proof hatches but am having no luck. Found some on this web site ( http://www.shipstore.com/SS/HTML/BEC/BECDP40WC.html ) but when I e-mail or phone I get no response. Anybody have any ideas?

Just read this thread and found it interesting and very helpful but I have one other question/concern? What does anybody think the increase in size does to the stability of the canoe? My first reaction would be that it does in fact increase the stability but thats just a gut reaction - wondering wha...
