Re: reminiscing

Thank you for the kind words Randy. There are so many builders that I remember their user names and their small craft projects. I enjoyed seeing them build some mighty fine boats. I appreciated the great advice I recieved. I cannot number the members that helped me along the the way but Juneaudave w...

reminiscing

Hello friends, I was in the area (on the net) and thought I would drop in and say hello. I haven’t been around for a few years and I sure do miss this forum and the awesome builders that post here. Some I have met, some I feel like I have. Some, like my old buddy Glen Smith are up in heaven but are ...

Re: Glen Smith died

It is with great sadness that I read this news, on here and in e-mails this morning. Glen Smith has been more than just a fellow boatbuilder to me. From my very first post on this forum back in Sept. 2004, Glen offered his help like he has for hundreds of other builders. Glen was a very special pers...

Re: Thanks Glen

Glen, Your expertise and generosity has been a huge part of this forum for many years. You always knew what us builders were going through when we presented a problem and you were always quick to offer a solution. You offered me many such solutions and all of them worked. I can remember all those ti...

Re: unusual additional tool for laying cloth/resin work

I bought one from Newfound a few years ago. I thought it would be nice to have every tool available to man. Problem was, I didn't have the nerve to use it. It sits in the drawer looking pretty.

Re: Is this a problem?

Your question had me stumped. I was really scratching my head for an answer that wouldn't come. Then I read your second post and was happy you were found resolution to the problem. However, I am still mystified as to the answer or how to rectify the variation. Maybe someone will clue us in. As for B...

Sweet! I'm glad it wasn't tippy out in the middle of that icy water. I've been getting the bug to get out on the water. You beat me to it. We don't have any ice though.

Very nice Randy. Beautiful work, as usual. I'd be scared of putting a ding on it by carrying it down all those steps.

Glen,
That's great news. I am so glad they are safe. I've only met Yasushi-san but I feel for all three. I can't imagine all they have been through or all they have lost.
