Bow eye placement
I am wondering about installation of a bow eye on the Gadabout I am restoring. It did not have one so I am unsure how they used the winch on the trailer to pull it on. I am only guessing I should install one unless there is another alternative that you can share. If I do need one, here are some ques...

Need advice---patch
I will be performing a patch job on a stripper. Mt question is: I assume the patched area will be lighter.....can I try a pale stain on the planks prior to the glassing and epoxy application? Another alternative possibly.....add wood flour to the epoxy mix to change the color? Any suggestions are ap...

Re: Fnished Canoe and now I have problems
Behr UV Spar
MAS epoxy
Another builder seems to think I have uncured epoxy causing the problem. Even though it was applied in November and seemed hard, it was not. If this were the case, I will have a mess to get down to the wooden hull and piece in new cloth.
Disappointing.

Fnished Canoe and now I have problems
I picked many people's brains and before I do something drastic I figured I should login and see if someone can come up with a solution for me. I have encountered a problem as I finished my first stripper. The fit and finsish is (or should I say "was") amazing if I do say so. When applying...

Hi again Glen The tacky spot hardened quite nicely today after firing up the propane heater for awhile. At the opposite end of the boat, there is another area approx. 12 inches x 12 inched with the same tackiness. I positioned a spot light near the area, however, I found the direct hear simply made ...

16 ' Prospector Seat Placement
My first canoe...in need of specific dimensions for the seat placements for the 16' Prospector.
Also, har far below the tops of the gunwales to the top of the seats is the norm?
Hope someone can assist.
