Varnish
Hi, I know there have been a few posts about varnish, but I have another question. The varnish that is at the big box hardware stores, the outdoor varnish, is it ok to use on a canoe? They do sell a helmsman brand that is for outdoor use too. I don't know where they sell the epifane or marine varnis...

Kneeling Seats
Hi, I am just finishing sanding my 16' Prospector and am looking at where to buy seats when I came across these kneeling seats. I was wondering if anyone has made or used them? For anyone who hasn't heard of it, it is almost like a "H" with padding on the legs so that the back of your legs...

Re: Varnish
Thanks. Those are the answers I was looking for. Like I said I was doing some research and didn't find anything like that. This is my first of hopefully a few canoes and I didn't want to mess it up. I did find a place in Kitchener, Innovation Paints, that has boat building supplies. And they sell a ...

Varnish
Hi, I am just finishing sanding my prospector canoe. I have been thinking and reading about how to mount them. Everywhere I look I see that they are flush with the hull. But I was wondering if it would create any problem if I would step the outer and fit it tight to the inner, covering the hull. Has...
