Hello,
I built a Ranger last year and it is made of pine (Pinus sylvestris). I found it quite easy to work with and like the end result.

I just finished my ranger and thought i might share some pictures of the canoe. The hull is made of pine, gunwales are birch, seats and yoke are oak. Hi, Can someone please tell me the seat locations for ranger according to the plans. I lofted the plans for my Ranger from Canoecraft and I'm getting close to finishing it. I'm about to build a 15 foot Ranger and i would like to know if anybody has built it and how good of a canoe it is. Also any pointers on building it would be most welcome.
