If you look under photo gallery,c1 marathon racing canoe. I have several pictures of the way I mounted my solo seat to bottom of canoe. It's the pictures under (Jim). I made them all out of carbon fiber,seat,rails,etc. Only weighed in at 11 oz. when they were all done.

Great canoe,JOB WELL DONE. Your son's Carbon Fiber seat is in the process of curing as we speak. Resupply of epoxy took longer to get then expected.
