try this link http://www.bearmountainboats.com/canoestems.htm . It may be of some help. I plotted a Ranger from the offsets in Canoecraft and some didn't look right. I found this link which has some corrections for the Ranger and some other designs. Good Luck

Try woodfinder.com. You can put in your zipcode, species of wood and mileage and it will give you available suppliers. Site also has some good info on properties and specific gravity of wood. I used it to find a WRC suppplier within 35 miles that I never would have thought to check into. Good Luck

Thanks Larry,
Really appreciate the info. I thinking of getting some of thick 150 resin to fill gaps and attach the stems. Also plannnig to precoat before adding the glass, Thanks again

How much resin needed

I've finished stripping my 15' Prospector and am ready to sand and glass. Just wondering how much resin I'll need. Was thinking of going with US Coomposites 635. They sell it in a 2 gal kit. Will this be enough using 6 oz glass with a football layup inside and out? Any other tips would be appreciate...

Thanks Glen. Since i posted this I've figured out the search function and have found more than enough info to keep me busy for a while. I've built my strongback and lofted my molds from Canoecraft and will cut them out in the next few days. then its off to find some cedar.
