Has anyone seen this seat? anyone used it?

Trying to figure out how they hang, what i would have to provide. Also trying to figure out how it is used... like a regular seat?

Ok, thanks Glen. I am wondering if epoxy is sold in smaller quanities than the larger containers i have been working with. how much epoxy should i buy to finish the boat (one interior coat, plus sealing & attaching gunnels and gluing up seats etc...)

GLassed inside of hull - is one coat enough?

well, i just finished fiberglassing the inside, with just enough epoxy to put one coat on. I assume the reason i have run short is the 4 full exterior coats. So since i am very very pleased with the job on the interior, is one coat strong enough? this boat is a lake tripper, i will not be using it o...

Glassing inside hull tomorow - one question about spreaders

So my only question is, if i use a spreader bar amidship after i wet out the glass:

a) should i put it on between coats?

b) doesnt it get "stuck" in the wet epoxy? :thinking

that would make for an awfull looking centre carry yolk!!! :frightened

sanding interior

So far i have finished scraping and rough shaping the interior, and finished with the 80 grit sanding. i wetted it out last night to see what i was missing, the only really noticable stuff was what appears to be wax residue from the molds. the wax must have prevented water from penitrating the wood,...

Thanks everyone,

Yes the outside is glassed, and sanded smooth.

I will be oil rubbing my gunnels, yolk and decks, so i wondered if it would be simpler to varnish now.

This is horrible. i have been thinking about doing a similar thing, ship the boat to BC or somthing for a big trip. Was the boat insured in some manor? is the company who shipped it covering costs? i am wondering how this works for a built boat which is not commercially available?

The rest of the hull is beauty!! i applied a very very thin coat which filled in all of the low spots and turned out really really nice! thanks to everyone for all the great advice. Not to hijack this thread, but i am begining to wonder about the prep from my gunnels and decks. I intend to oil rub my gunnels and decks, i would assume that i can just skip the epoxy coatings on the majority of the gunnels and just epoxy the surface that will contact the hull once installed?
