Charles,

Good work. Too bad you did not get a good chance to enjoy this season. The endless tinkering still sounds like fun...

Bryan,

Looks like it worked out pretty well - you are going to have a very cool paddle. Make sure you keep us up to date with the progress, final product and paddle characteristics. I would like to see the paddle once shape the shaft and craft the blade.

Bryan, An interesting goal and approach. Can you describe the method you are attemting to accomplish this with? Am I correct in assuming that once you have your forms shown in your jig axially positioned (at each respective station), you try to progressively rotate each form successively as you move...

I recommend looking at 1/2" for the stem molds. When you go to shape the inner stem, depending on the boat design, you will likely run in to some interference problems in some areas. It is not a how stopper, but you will likely end up having to trim back some of your stem mold.

Stuart, A very nice job! I admire your intention of presenting this beautiful hadwork to your son. I hope he grows up understanding our place in life. I also admire the fact that it will be a few more years before HE can acutally paddle it... Enjoy with your family! Once again, nice work! Snowman

Mark, Bravo! Get her out and enjoy Lac Leamy! We left Gatineau 3 years ago :sad and hopefully will be heading back some day. Lac Leamy is a fantastic place for a quick paddle - right in the middle of town. Now that you have that your excellent project complete, you will have to get out to Lac La Pec...

Glen,

The Boatmaster has once again produced a fine piece of work! Your project turned out VERY spectacular! Congratulations on another job well done. You will have to let us know how she paddles (and how the fishing was). Keep us posted!
