I was planning on going with the West system. I am noy fammiliar wit the Cidatel system you speak of. Can you tell me more about it?

Thanks for the info. I found that post and will consider that method. Thanks Glen, I had originally used Cherry for outer stems- I am wondering how the Western Red Cedar would work. Rookie Mistake-outer stems
Just found my first big mistake while building my 15' Hiawatha. When I bent my stems I did not bend the outer ones over the inner ones- rather I bent them directly over the stem mold.
