No problem IMHO... I used Titebond Type III for its waterproofness but any good glue should do because those joints will not see water and will be covered with fiberglass.

Crusader... I'm in the same boat, no pun intended, as I'm 71 overweight but gorgeous... I selected the Nomad for it's size which is no surprise but the outrigger is my idea for stability. I looked everywhere for something better but could not find anything. You can buy kits for outriggers but I'm pl...

IMHO I would not modify existing plans as strange results can appear... For two up fly fishing, you need stablity and for that, I would recommend the 17' Nomad by BMB. I am adding a outrigger to her so you can stand and cast as well. Good Luck...

Microplane.....

Don't forget to look at the microplane... It is like a cheese grader with a handle. I got mine at Woodcraft and it is so far superior to a block plane or spokeshave, it's no contest. I bought a spare blade but you could do one canoe with just one. It will take down the stems in nothing flat and give...

On line waiting answer...

Help... 1) Bronze carriage bolts for seats and thwarts - !/4-20 I assume
2) What size washer goes with a 1/4-20? I don't see a 1/4" so I was thinking it
might be a number.
Anybody please... I am ordering tonight and I just want to make sure...
Thanks, Joe

Why not use the new Titebond III, it's waterproof and works great. IMHO

Auto body shops always use them to get smooth finishes on Bondo or the like. When painting with high gloss, it must be smooth or you will see it a mile away. The one I have is made of a thin sheet of flexible blued metal that twists very nicely buy yet is storng enough to take off small irregulariti...

UV Rays...

Remember, Epoxy does not like UV rays and that is what protection the Varnish provides! I would opt for varnishing prior to your first launch for that very reason. IMHO...
