Yes, it cracked right at the bend to the blade.
It cracked right in the cedar (laminate) and migrated into the (feathered) ash.
I only noticed it after my buddy had carried it over a portage.
I did not notice it crack while paddling.

How many, home built, boats do you have?


me three,
-1 cedar strip solo canoe (Osprey)
-1 cedar strip canoe (Kipawa)
-1 cedar strip kayak (Endeavour)

I think I "need" two or three more.
(folding kayak & kevlar solo canoe)
