Strip Voyageur hits the water

Post by pawistik »

Some local fellows building a 25' voyageur style canoe (in a 17' garage) got their nearly complete boat onto the water on Saturday. Looks pretty dang fine. They're building the canoe to carry them through the "Saskatchewan Centennial Canoe Quest."

I know who I'll be cheering for in the upcoming race. Actually, I hope to be camped along the Sturgeon-Weir River as the race goes by in the final stages. It will be a very cool thing to witness, especially given the location.

Cheers,
Bryan
