canoe trailer plans??

Post by boatman »

Can anyone tell me where I might could find plans for building a canoe trailer. I do not want to use a rack system. I would prefer a trailer.

hoz - I don't know if I would feel secure going down the interstate at 70 mph with a trailer with 8 inch wheels.

Cliff Jacobson devotes a few pages to canoe trailers in his book "Expedition Canoeing, 3rd : A Guide to Canoeing Wild Rivers in North America". He doesn't give the measurements for the trailer, but has some good information on construction. It is worth reading as you ponder a trailer.

Perhaps it works best if you stand your canoe on end...[/quote]
