I have posted instructions in the "FAQ" section of the forum: http://www.bearmountainboats.com/phpbb2 ... php?t=1150

Now you have me curious as to what this strange canoe can be. :thinking

You could always email me the photo and I will post it for you if that is more convenient.

Here is one photo of a "strange canoe" as reported by AJ. I'm sure the Redbird would be easier to build, cartop and paddle but this sure is a head-turner. This Italian sculptor has made several different wooden cars that actually work and they all float. He even made a wooden carriage with horses that he drives around on the canals in Venice. Enjoy.

LOL! Those wooden wheels have to be rough on the road.

Maybe that's why most of his photos show his vehicles on water. :thinking

Portaging it would be interesting.
No need for a car top carrier, ....for your cedar strip canoe.

Pics of this guys work get posted or sent to me every once in a while. Browse through some of the suff on his site- absolutely amazing work. His Name is Livio De Marchi. I find some of the smaller items even more amazing than the big cars etc., the detail is very life-like.

To keep it on topic with the forum, here is one of his boat building projects:

This might make a real nice paddling shirt:
