Thank you Forum

Post by mikestenger »

I want to take this opportunity to thank this forum for providing the help and expertise that got me to having the outer hull on my 15' Bob's Special fiberglassed the day before Thanksgiving. I had worried and stewed for months about doing the fiberglass work...I didn't know how to do it and was afraid I would mess up the great looking canoe I had built. John Miche's website and some personal e-mails from John were most helpful on several points. I really got hung up on how to fit the outer stems to the hull (mortising the strips to accept the stem). John helped me through that.

Several others furnished good advice at various times. Thank you.

I live in Port Angeles, WA and a local kayak builder (Joe Greenley...Redfish Kayaks...Port Townsend, WA) also was enormously helpful. Thanks Joe!

Now...on to scraping and sanding the inner hull!!

Thanks again. Mike Stenger
