On May the 11th there will be a new exhibit opening at the Canoe Museum featuring three of the 'royal' canoes. One was built by the Peterborough Canoe Company and given by the city of Peterborough to commemorate the marriage of Queen Elizabeth in 1948, one was built by Walter Walker for Prince Andrew when he attended Lakefield College School in 1977 and one built by Ted Moores (Bear Mountain Boat Shop) in 1981- a personal wedding gift from Pierre Elliot Trudeau to Prince Charles and Lady Diana. We hear Prince Andrew may open the exhibit on May 11th.
