For those who insist on using Polyurethane glues:
This November/December 2006 issue of Fine Woodworking has a warning concerning Polyurethane glue being a danger to pets. (Author is a worker at a Connecticut veterinary hospital where they have had several cases.). It seems that dogs have ingested this type of glue where it expands and cures in the stomac. He goes on to say that they have not had a case of dogs eating any other type of glue.
