Lofting the Resolute 16'6".......what the?

Post by thenewguy »

Hello all-
After exhaustive internet searches for tips, hints, how to's, and ideas on strip building the Resolute 16'6" from Ted Moores book KayakCraft I am still confused on lofting the plans from his table of offsets. I'm not sure how to plot the sheer plots and there are no measurements for the bow and stern stem molds. I found a link on the Bear Mountain website for the stem molds but the link is not valid...... Any ideas??
Thanks!
Kurt

You can try this link: http://www.bearmountainboats.com/offset_lofting.htm

I have posted some general lofting instructions on this site:
http://groups.msn.com/CanoesKayaks/lofting101.msnw

I will email you the stem details and I will report the dead link to BM.

The dead link should be fixed sometime in the near future. In the meantime, here is the correct link to the "Stem Details" for the Bear Mountain kayaks.
