Strong back is built! Now I'm looking at cutting and setting up the molds. My Cottage Cruiser is 15 1/2" and the strongback is 16" long. I read in Canoecraft that when building a shorter canoe on a longer strongback that you should raise the molds about 2" to leave room for the stems. Any suggestions on the best way to do this? Should I make the station molds 2" higher, or set the mold on blocks to raise it up?
Finally, I'm having trouble visualizing why I would need to raise it up. Can anyone explain this too me a bit more?
Thanks
