Finnish Ranger 15 finished and launched

First canoe of Kanoottiveljet-team is finished and launched!
Canoe weighs 56lbs.
WRC, aspen and mahogany were used for hull strips. Stems, gunwales, chairs and portage yoke are white ash and decks wrc. Fiberglass cloth was 40" wide so I had to overlap 2 lengths to cover hull. Overlapseam is along the keelline and is 4" wide.
Varnish is Hempel Hempathane 2-part polyurethane sprayvarnish sprayed by professional bodyhop. Our canoeshop was so untidy that I decided to have varnishin made by professional:)
Paddles were made with ash and walnut. Oiled with tung oil.

Second canoe of our team was launched last sunday.
Very nice work by Juho. All WRC hull, Ash gunwales and chairs, wrc decks. Weighs 56lbs.


We have still three canoes to go. Two canoes are in inside sanding phase and last one is stripped but nothin more.
