Proper length of the strongback for a 16' Champlain

Post by Richard2 »

Does anyone know what the proper length of the strongback should be for a 16 foot Champlain?

I would make the strongback top about 14 feet to 14 feet 6 inches long. This is to allow the bow and stern tips to overhang the ends and makes it easier to work on them especially when shaping the inner and outer stems.
