I do not understand the values (revised offsets) for the bow and stern stem of the Ranger.
Sheer is shown as 1-02-1+@1 1/2"
I understand 1-02-1+ to mean 1 foot, 2 inches, 1/8, and 1/16 (or 14 and 3/16)..... but what does @1 1/2" mean ????
Interpretation @ 1 1/2 in revised Ranger offsets

That is 1 & 1/2" from the baseline. This is specified because your first reference line is 2" from the baseline.

Thank you. I am gearing-up to loft the plans for the Ranger (as a first time lofter).

Re: Interpretation @ 1 1/2 in revised Ranger offsets
When I was lofting my Ranger I discovered problems with the values, in Canoecraft, for the stems. After contacting them they sent a revised set of offsets. I have posted this on the last picture of www.tinyurl.com/new-ranger-canoe.
Good luck, John

Hi John. I know this thread is old, but that link to tinyurl is broken.
It seems like the most recent edition of Canoecraft (10th, 2016) has an error for the stem mold offsets. Any idea on where the correct table may be? I have searched alot but am unable to find it.
Thanks,
~ Jake

This is what Bear Mountain used to have posted for corrections. Please note that this applies to the 2000 edition of Canoecraft. I have no idea if it also applies to the 2016 edition. http://web.archive.org/web/201211081136 ... estems.htm

YES! Thank you Stephen, this is exactly what I was looking for.
They must have forgotten to include the corrections, because the 2016 edition also has a couple incorrect tables for stem offsets. I have notified Joan about it and she said she would speak with Ted.
Again, thank you very much. It seemed like no matter how hard I searched I couldn't find those corrections.
