I have been looking at pictures of two 15' Ranger builds (where I can count mold stations)
* Shawnwaite's (excellent) WEB site
* The Peterborough RONA Building Store fund raiser canoe
Shawn's site has pictures that show the full scale (store boat) Bear Mountain plans and enough pictures that I can count mold stations (ditto for the RONA build). Each of these builds show 13 mold stations (+2 stems).
Ted's book (page 50-51) shows that the Ranger has 15 mold stations (+ 2 stems)
So what gives? Do I need to loft station 7 or do I forget it? I am assuming that because of the short distance between 7 and the stem, station 7 can be dropped w/o changing her lines.
15' Ranger: Stems + 15 or is it 13 mold stations ?

Ignore form 7. It is there for lofting purposes only as it helps define the sheerline but it is not needed in the construction.

Thanks Glen.
I am at a pretty steep point in my "lofting learning curve" but, I think I got the idea. Right now I am planning to draw out a 1/4 section of Ranger side view and (of course) the body plan.
When I get to the build, station 7 won't be on the strong back
