New Here - question about 18 ft lumber in Montreal, quebec

Brand new here. I am planning on building my first kayak over this fall and winter. I have ordered Ted Moore's book, now time to track down some 18 foot cedar around Montreal, Quebec. I know lots of places that have 16 foot lumber, but haven"t found anywhere that sells 18 foot. It does not have to WRC, the eastern is fine. This is my first kayak, so I will view it as a learning experience, so acceptable lumber at a low cost would probably be best. I intend to build a 17 ft Endeavour based on Ken Moore's book.

I have never built a Kayak, but i recently finished a full rebuild of a 50 year old sailboat. So, i am not that intimidated by working with fiberglass and epoxy. i think it is going to be the woodworking that will be my nemesis! i never have been very good at cutting along a line, guess it is time to learn!

Anyway, if anyone knows of a source for 18 foot inexpensive lumber around Montreal, please let me know. I am sure I will have many questions going forward, so patience may be required.

I got some of my wood from these folks here in Cowansville...about 45 minutes east of Mtl on the Aut10.
