Gunwales length prospector

Post by Pit Boss Mike » Fri Jul 03, 2015 3:45 pm

Hello, I'm building the 16' prospector and have found a sawyer near me who might have Ash for the Gunwales. What is the minimum length I would need for this canoe?

Any help would be appreciated.

Inwhales will be shorter. Depending on how you do your decks.
I'd say 16' 5" or longer for outwhales.
I splice mine, as I don't have long Ash available.

Keep your paddle wet and your seat dry!
