Rice Lake Skiff

Post by ctboat »

I am thinking of building a Rice Lake Skiff, my reasons are, its rated as very stable, it can be rowed or have a small engine mounted, plan to use it on the Ct river and its coves with my wife,my dog, and myself we total about 330lbs, it will fit in the back of my pickup for the 3/4 mile drive to the river. I just want to go out on nice days and have fun. Has anyone else built one?

If you look at this thread: http://www.bearmountainboats.com/phpbb2 ... .php?t=321 you will see some comments and photos from the few here who have built the Rice Lake Skiff. Unfortunately, those builders don't come back here very often. It is a very lovely boat indeed!
