I'm looking for a good quote or saying that is canoe or paddling related to put on a t-shirt. I'm sure many of you veterans have heard a few good ones.

"Some people hear the song in the quiet mist of a cold morning..... But for other people the song is loudest in the evening when they are sitting in front of a tent, basking in the camp fire's warmth. This is when I hear it loudest ...." BM

Yea, though I walk through a workshop filled with cedar strips and uncured epoxy, I fear no evil. Glen is my guide, he will lead me through queries and blunders. At the end of my project, I shall sleep in peace, knowing that my boat will float forever and the varnish shall truly shine.

These are some I've collected:

Sleep tandem, paddle solo.

A rolling boater gathers no moss.
A stoned boater gathers no rolls.
A bad day paddling, beats a good day working.
Take a stroke, don't have a stroke.
Brace yourself, it's a tough ocean out there.
We love two waves, good by.
Kayakers love ocean motion.
Tenor more kayakers avoid deep C's.
Crave zest? Wave crest!
Ocean kayaking is really swells.
I like to paddle until my buns get tired.
Sea kayaking makes me happy.
If you kayaked, you'd be happier.
Stroke and glide is the way to ride.
There are two types of people in the world: "kayakers" and "them".
It isn't the size of the boat, its how you paddle it.
If you haven't kayaked you haven't lived!
I wouldn't trade one day kayaking for your whole pathetic life! (Great one for rushhour traffic.)

This one was in the Toronto Star yesterday.

"When one rows it is not the rowing which moves the ship:
rowing is only a magical ceremony by means of which one
compels a demon to move the ship".
