Where can I post Pics

Post by Knute »

I have a 16' Prospector I'd like to show off to you guys.

Hull is Fir (Cedar wasn't available)
Gunwales, seat frames and stems are Pecan
Decks are Mesquite
Portage yoke is Red Oak
Seats are caned.
Custom decals, bald eagle and coyote

Where can I post the pics?

Knute, Great looking canoe! Post more (bigger). You've got some great paddling up in your neck of the woods. I've paddled the Wisconsin river a few times.

I love the light uniform color. Looks great. I'd love to see some bigger pictures, especially of that deck. Your boat makes me want a Prospector. :)

Don't know if this will work, but try the direct link. I'm sure Glen doesn't want large pics clogging up this site.

Knute,

Nice work. I really like the same color of strips on the canoe and the contrasting mesquite deck. The mesquite, pecan, coyote & arevery southwestern. Is this just coincidence or do you have a SW connection?

I think that large pictures are automatically resized and then you click on them to make them bigger. They're not really stored on the Bear Mnt. server, so there is no extra cost in bandwidth or storage space between a big and small photo. Post away! I'd try and keep the photos under 50k though.

Nice looking boat, Knute! I must admit to being partial to the Prospector though. I too am waiting for some water.

Bassbug,

Yes, I have a big connection to Texas. My mother was born in San Antonio and is currently retired there. My father helped find the mesquite. The pecan came from a good freind in New Boston, TX just west of Texarkana.

The strange thing is the canoe was built in Jackson, TN and the maiden voyage was in Monona Lake in Madison, WI. It will hit more water in more states as it goes camping with us.

Knute,

It's hard to hide the Texas in ya! I grew up around Lubbock, in the southern panhandle and all my family and my wife's family still live there. Although my brother-in-law and I built our Redbird in Lincoln, the first float was in the Colorado River N. of Austin.

Your canoe is very nice and has inspired me to get moving on my Ranger.
