canoe sail rigs

Post by Stargzr57 »

I came across a sail rig here on the net called Sailboats to go. It looks like it might be a fun addition to my Bob's special canoe. Has anyone tryed this rig? My concern would be attaching all the rigging would it scratch my trim? And would there be alot of stress on my gunnels as the sail is attached to them?

Thanks to all, Steve W.

Steve,
You can probably get the answer to this question, and many more, in this forum dedicated to sailing canoes:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/sailing_canoes/
I think you'll need to sign in to browse and lurk there but it's free.

Steve,
Your question recently came up on the Yahoo sailing canoe group. Here's a link to a post from someone with experience using it.
