Glen,

Nobody has answers like you. I'll give the same advice you always give, "Do a test piece first". :wink

Have a safe trip. Don't forget your water shoes. See ya when ya get here.

One tip I used to give to my technicians: When in trouble, when in doubt, run in circles, scream and shout!

Or as some here have said: What would Ted or Glen do in this situation.

Here's a little message you once sent me.
Yea, though I walk through a workshop filled with cedar strips and uncured epoxy, I fear no evil. Glen is my guide, he will lead me through queries and blunders. At the end of my project, I shall sleep in peace, knowing that my boat will float forever and the varnish shall truly shine.

Trust me!
I re-read this before every project.

Your memory is about as long as .......................................well, you know what I mean. :sealed lips

For anyone interested, I will have Glen and his new bride as guests for a few days at my home in Indiana. We plan to go paddling in one of my favorite places locally. My wife will have the honors of taking pictures. I'll post some for you to enjoy. I might even convince Glen to do the Eskimo Roll. Keep your fingers crossed.

Mike, although I am no longer in good paddling condition, I really appreciated our short outing. Your kayak is fantastic!

Thanks for putting up with us. :laughing

Glen,

You did fine. We all have our off days. I'm happy to know you liked the kayak. It just goes to show you what can be done when friends work together, your design and my build. It is my favorite also.

We didn't put up with you. We hosted you. It was great.

I'm around and check messages every other day or so...I just don't post much seeings how I don't have a build going. I do need to figure what I'm going to fuss with over the winter. With the trailer done, I'm projectless (unless getting after neglected home repairs counts)!!!

Doing home repairs might show you that you need some new tools! :eyebrows

Juneaudave,

With the experience you gained building boats and the beautiful trailer, you should post. You have experience in areas that most of us only dream of. Please, for the sake of lesser experienced builders, post and share your knowledge. We'd all appreciate the chance to learn from seasoned builders like yourself.
