Hiawatha on Google Earth

Post by Richard »

Hi,
Big show off but I couldn't help it. Type in Bridge Sollers U.K. and just left of the village in the middle of the river you will see a photo marked 'Cedar boat on still Wye'. My latest build and im over the moon with everything about it. She handles like a dream except in windy conditions, but she rides the rapids well and is so responsive.

That's great....found it......that canoe looks fantastic on the water.
I think all boat builders are proud "show-offs" to some degree. I know I am.

I love my Hiawatha too, it's a perfect "go-between" with both rapids and flat water.

Thanks Sherm,

I was expecting some flack. Over here in the U.K. people don't like you blowing your own trumpet.

All the best,

Richard-
With a great looking canoe like that, you can get the whole orchestra out if you want to! :applause
I love the accent pattern!

Thanks Mark, maybe I'll just go for the trumpet fanfare.

Hi Richard

Great looking canoe
I think i bumped into you and your canoe at the kayak and canoe show in Cardiff last year, went home dreaming that one day I build my own canoe, this day is coming closer all the time, deciding between the Haiawatha and the freedom 15.

I might see you coming down the Wye sometime as I only live on the other side of the bridge (Bristol), at the moment i'm more likely to be seen in a kayak though.
