If you want to build them,

$20 for the plans.

I just discovered this web site. They sell a contoured seat along with the standard canoe seats. The prices are attractive too!

I just bought ash contoured seats and ash contoured carrying yoke from Newfound Boat Works and they are excellent quality at a reasonable price.

I can highly recommend Newfound also. I ordered my kayak hatches from them and they under promised and over delivered. I had a very good experience with them, and will buy from them again.

Seats

Murry,
Building your own seats would be a nice finishing touch to all your hard work so far. It's not all that difficult to make some seats of simple designs but will look rather nice. Cane is a typical material for the seat. You can use real cane or plastic and weave your own or buy pre-woven fabric and use that. It's really easy with pre-woven cane fabric and fun.

If you have scuppers on your inwales, another side benefit of building your own is you can make the depth fit your scuppers! This is a problem sometimes with pre-built seats.

Edit: Ugh, I looked back at the dates and you've probably already have your seats installed and have been in the water!
