bilge transition problems

Post by all »

bilge transition not smooth - I have reached the point where the planking is beginning to bend toward the bottom of the boat. the strips are not close to lying flat on the forms. if I make them flat they are barely in the cove. what's the best option for me to proceed?

Use a hot-air gun to heat a portion of the strip where it needs torsion. When the strip is warm enough you should be able to twist it. Twist it a bit more than needed and keep the torsion pressure on it as it cools. You can pre-shape the strips this way so they are easier to install.
