Quicker to use than the U.S. Forest Products Lab (Center for Wood Anatomy Research) website, which has a page for each species. Summarizes the above info on one page for specific gravity (weight), elasticity, impact resistance, hardness, and resistance to splitting.

PS.... interesting that eastern white pine and poplars are lighter than basswood on this chart, but as stated "these values may not necessarily represent average characteristics".
