I live in Kansas where fly fishing is for things otgher than trout. I am looking for a design that will accomodate two people on small lakes, ponds, strip pits, and occasionally a jaunt down a Missouri or Arkansas river.
I have the older version of CanoeCraft and am trying to decide between the Peterborough and the Chestnut Prospector.
Any advice, including newer designs, would be appreciated.

The Bob's Special is touted as being a good choice for fly-fishermen mainly because of the lowered stems. It has very nice lines and good stability.

Thanks for the imput. I will look into the Bob'sSpecial. I like the idea of a 16 footer, or close to it, as "management" wants to be sure that it is stable and will hold all that is needed.
