captains vs flagship

Post by guest »

I am trying to decide on using captains vs flagship. Does anyone know if either of these is clearer than the other? I would like a clear look instead of the amber look, but I do not wish to try any of the two part poly's.

Can I have your comments and recommendations?

Thanks

Captain's/Flagship

I used Captain's on my first boat (Flagship didn't exist at the time) and went to Flagship for the next one. I wasn't aware of a *radical* difference in tint, though if pressed I would say that the Flagship has a bit more golden amber color. On the other hand, it is greatly superior to the Captain's in UV resistance (demonstrated on my strip-built mailbox) and at least as durable against abrasion. It's a bit pricier, but not enough to make a real difference in the overall cost of any boat ($3 a quart at Jamestown). Based on my jexperience there is no question what I would choose: Flagship all the way..
