I was thinking about how to setup my router to mill the strips and support their long lengths when it occurred to me that I had already built a great solution.
I transferred the hole pattern from my router base plate to the top of the strongback between the leg and a horizontal support piece. I drilled and countersunk the mounting bolts and bored a hole for the bit.
This setup allowed me to stand at the end of the strongback to feed the strips and they were fully supported on the out-feed side the whole time. It worked great!

Thanks for posting this, I've though of making a bigger
router table for this, but the strongback idea is great....
The strongback is so large it needs to serve for "double-duty" any-hoo....
