H folks
Just thought I'd share this handy method of holding my sea Kayak for varnishing.I was wondering how I would turn the hull over with the deck varnish still slightly sticky until I thought up this.
With everything out of the way I was able to apply the varnish to the underside using a small foam roller and then tip it off with a foam brush. The bolts through the grab loop holes are just pushed into a slightly angled hole that I drilled into my trestles and I put one stand on each side of the boat to counteract any tipping and it is all stable as long as you take care not to rock the boat.At each end there is just enough room to get the foam brush in around the prow and stern that way there is no tendency for the bolts to bend or come out.Lovely
Cheers
