A symetrical canoes.

Post by Jim Dodd »

With nearly every boat I've built, I have modified the design at least a little, some had good results and some bad.
Having said that, a technic I've used on my last two canoes, was to change the station spacings to make an A symmetrical canoe.
A symmetrical designs in my experience seem faster, and just as easy to maneuver.
I did this on a 13 station solo canoe.
Here's a pic of the form stations.

This is my experience, and I post this as food for thought.
Keep your paddle wet and your seat dry!
