ELCANA "Bob's Special".

Post by Daniel Pradella »

Hello folks and friends of Bear Mountain.
More or less at the end of 2012 got a project from a canoe "15 'Bob's Special". Received them and plans everything in perfect order thanks to the optimum provision of services at Bear Mountain. Dei start work the following year in 2013.
Being professional in the business of furniture making and a business owner, I performed these services only after working hours and weekends, with much care and dedication, therefore, this process was very slow.
So here are some photos of the construction process.

Pink Cedar (Cedrela fissilis), to red.
Pine (Araucaria angustifolia) for white-yellowish.

Hello friends, okay?
For Bob's Special were to become my final work as it came time to give it a name.
The name chosen was biblical, "Elcana" father of Samuel, Elcana means "God's owns".
Following work with resin and fabric.

Hello Jim, really fiber is delicate. But I think it was more difficult internal finish requires a lot of patience and dedication. Below photos.

Abraços Jim.

Hello guys.
For the final finish after the resin, applied a automotive (semi-matte) layer of varnish.
And so were moments of joy in building this canoe, I just desire to build a kayak. Hugs to all stay with God.
Follows photos.

I love the wood combination, and especially the deck and storage compartment. I'd encourage you to tell your story on "My Canoecraft Story" I know I'd be interested!
Very nice work! I wanted to paddle ELCANA the minute I saw her!
Thanks for posting!

Hello. :tu
After a while away return activities.
After the canoe, a transport vehicle was necessary. I managed to get it this year, I prepared the adaptations due to transport safety and the storage location of the canoe. See the photos.
