you get to pick my final football design

I posted my football earlier and have finally decided on how to finish the pattern I'm just not sure which way so please vote for your favorite

or #3 which has the pin stripping, I only had a few scraps on hand and not equal height but would extend end to end following the centerline

I really like that pattern.

I think the pattern from pic #1 .... it picks up the diamond shape from front and rear pattern, but in a larger shape, which fits with the large size at the middle.

If the middle diamonds were fit into the curve of the strips at that point, I think the symmetry would look awesome.

Just my $.02

I want to pick your brain a minute
If im following you are you suggesting having the bottom of the diamond curved to match the planking from the turn of the hull?
here is a pic of the diamond lower on the canoe

That's exactly what I was suggesting .... that plays off of the ones you already have at either end, adds a common element/symmetry to the pattern. I guess technically they are triangular shaped, but you get the drift.

The second choice would take less time, but the first is more striking !
Fine job of stripping !

hey Jim thanks a lot . the sides do not have any type of a pattern , but I'll try to upload a photo when I get home
