Re: Canoecraft Offset Revisions
Hello Folks
It is seven years since I made my moulds and I have been using them to make canoes with no need to draw up fresh plans.
Recently I made some strips for a customer to make his own boat and he is in the process of drawing up his moulds. He came to see me for some more strips on Friday and asked if I could explain how to plot the stem moulds.
He is making a 15ft Bob's Special from the latest edition of Canoecraft.
we worked out the plotting of the points as shown on the link for revisions and I have sent him the revisions page so we now know the figures are right but....
It still leaves a large gap of unplotted curve from the last point plotted on the 18" line to where it joins the number 6 station.
Are we correct to assume that this is just to be drawn freehand?
Its a long time since I made my moulds
Cheers
Alick

Re: Canoecraft Offset Revisions
Hi Alick,
I did up my molds for the Freedom 17 from the table of offsets, which I think is what you are asking. I put up a detailed account here:

Maybe there will be your answer in the post.
