Seat bolts
Seat bolts
As my gunwales slope inwards and I have drilled holes in the inwales at 90 degrees to the seat, I get a gap under the inboard edge of the bolt head (see picture). I have experimented with an offcut and managed to chisel a rebate on the outboard side which doesn't look too bad. I'm a little concerned about removing wood from the inwale though as this is bound to weaken it where the bolts are. Any suggestions?
Re: Seat bolts
Many builders epoxy cleats to the inside of the hull. to attach the seat
I don't have a pic to show. Seems like Cruiser did that ?
You will want to be pretty sure of where you want your seats located !
search" Seat Cleats", here.

Keep your paddle wet and your seat dry!
