Hull progress
I have closed in the first half of the hull bottom, next steps, cut centerline then fill in second half.

The centerline has been cut and I have added a few strips on the second side. For a change of pace I decided to make the mortices and install the outer stems before finishing the hull planking. This way I will be able to start shaping the outer stems while the glue dries on the last few hull strips.
The hull is fully stripped and the outer stems are shaped. Next steps: scrape, fill cracks, sand.
The hull has been sanded with 80 grit and wet to raise the grain.

Glen,
More of your outstanding work.
Will you post a pic of the bow detail? Are those fish on a line? Did you use a decal?
It's looking very nice.
Life has unfortunately gotten in the way of my Prospector and Yaks, but I hope to start them within the next few weeks. The ice is starting to melt around the lower lakes and rivers here. Soon it'll be time to paddle again!

Holy yak deck, Boatman!!!!!!!!!!
I have finished stripping the deck and I cut out a "swoop" pattern which needs to be cleaned up then filled with narrow strips. Once this swoop has been stripped, I will cut and strip an opposing one that criss-crosses this one with contrasting strips.
