thinner cleanup

Post by Peter Kotowych »

Howdy,

I will soon be glassing my first canoe. What is the best and safest way to deal with cleaning the epoxy off brushes etc. Do you just let them sit in a can of thinner. I would imagine it is best to wipe them off. If that is so can I dry the rags outside and then would they be safe to dispose of without causing spontaneous combustion.

Thanks

Hi Pete,
I strongly advise to go to John Michne's site and checkout Fiberglassing 101.
www.michneboat.com then click on builder's corner and there you will find fiberglassing 101. I just had an experience from a burping resin dispenser. Glen advised me to check it out and I wish that I would have thought to do so beforehand.
Everything will be OK[img::]http://www.mikenchell.com/forums/images ... uryi3b.gif[/img]
